A woman welcomes a visitor while a colleague stands beside her.

You must be Ms Rahman. Sales is expecting you.” 짧은 질문으로 정보를 정확히 확인하고(“When does the tour start?”), 중요한 내용은 다시 말해 확인하세요: “So the meeting starts at nine thirty?”

  • “report to” (~에게 보고하다, ~ 밑에서 일하다) – “The purchasing manager reports to the operations director.”
  • “be responsible for” (~을 책임지다, 명사나 -ing와 함께) – “I’m responsible for welcoming visitors.”
  • “be in charge of” (~을 맡다, 총괄하다) – “Tom is in charge of the afternoon tour.”
  • “work closely with” (~와 긴밀히 협력하다) – “Sales works closely with Logistics on urgent orders.”

“You must be …” “Sales is expecting you”는 담당자가 준비되어 있다는 뜻입니다.

Maya Good morning. You must be Ms Rahman.

Ms Rahman Yes. I have a nine-thirty appointment with Tom Novak in Sales.

Maya Welcome to Northline. May I check your badge?

Ms Rahman Of course.

Maya Sales is expecting you. Would you like coffee first?

Ms Rahman No, thank you. I'm ready to go up.

who, what, when, which 의문문

“be” 동사는 “is/are”를, 다른 동사는 “do/does”를 쓰고 본동사는 원형으로 둡니다. “Who meets her at reception?”(누가 그녀를 맞이하나요?)과 “Who does she meet first?”(그녀는 누구를 먼저 만나나요?)

  • “Who is the visitor?” – 사람
  • “What does she need?” – 사물
  • “When does the tour start?” – 시간
  • “Which department does she need?” –

“Could you tell me …”나 “Do you know …”

  • “Where is Reception?” → “Could you tell me where Reception is?”
  • “When does the tour start?” → “Do you know when the tour starts?”
  • “Does she need a badge?” → “Do you know if she needs a badge?”

  • “So the meeting starts at nine thirty?”
  • “Did you say the warehouse tour?”
  • “Let me check the visitor’s surname.”
  • 답할 때: “Yes, that’s right.” 또는 “Not quite. It’s at eleven.”

A buyer arrives at 09:20 for a 09:30 appointment.”
She meets Sales first and tours the warehouse at 11:00.”
Sales hosts the meeting, the warehouse team leads the tour and the managing director hosts lunch.”
The office coordinator.”
Send the final schedule to all three hosts by 17:00 the day before.”

  • “When the tour starts?” 조동사를 넣으세요: “When does the tour start?”
  • “Could you tell me where is Reception?” 평서문 어순을 쓰세요: “… where Reception is?”
  • “She reports at the director.” 전치사는 “to”입니다: “She reports to the director.”
  • “I have an appointment to the sales manager.” “with”를 쓰세요: “an appointment with the sales manager”.

  • 2분: “report to”와 “be responsible for”를 넣어 팀을 네 문장으로 소개하세요.
  • 2분: 방문에 관한 질문 네 개를 쓰고, 그중 두 개를 “Could you tell me …?”

You must be Ms [성].”), 약속과 출입증을 확인한 다음, 이어서 무엇을 하는지 알려 주세요: “Sales is expecting you.”

“Could you tell me where is Reception?”과 “where Reception is?”

“Could you tell me where Reception is?”

“responsible for”와 “in charge of”는 어떻게 다른가요?

“Responsible for”는 맡은 의무와 그 결과를 강조합니다: “I’m responsible for visitor safety.” “In charge of”는 관리와 통제를 강조합니다: “She’s in charge of the tour.”
