At a community cinema ticket desk, two children compare a matinee and evening performance using clock, seat and price pictures; an adult clerk stands behind the desk.

ساعد طفلك من 9 إلى 12 سنة (المستوى A2) على أن يسأل “What time does it start?”

ليسأل الأطفال عن عرض بالإنجليزية يقولون “What time does it start?” ويجيبون بالمضارع البسيط (“present simple”): “It starts at seven.” وإذا نفدت تذاكر أحد العروض يقترحون عرضًا آخر (“Can we see the evening performance, not the matinee?”) ثم يتأكدون منه: “Are there any seats left for that?”

و“How much is it?”

السؤال الأساسي هو “What time does it start?” أما “It will start at seven.”

من دون كلمة مساعدة، لذلك يقول الأطفال كثيرًا “What time it starts?”. وبالشكل نفسه نسأل “When does it finish?”

Nia What time does it start?

Leo It starts at seven.

“at” و“on” و“in”: الساعة واليوم والتاريخ

ويمكن الترتيب بالطريقتين: “at seven on Friday” أو “on Friday at seven”. وانتبه: “in the evening” لكن “on Friday evening”.

  • “at”: “at seven”، “at half past six”
  • “on”: “on Saturday”، “on 18 October”
  • “in”: “in October”، “in the afternoon”

Leo The matinee is sold out.

Nia Can we see the evening performance, not the matinee?

Leo Are there any seats left for that?

Nia Yes. The clerk says two seats are left.

في “Are there any seats left?” نستخدم “any” لأنها سؤال، والإجابة فيها عدد أو “no”: “There are two seats left.” و“There are no seats left.” وللتأكيد نكرر التفاصيل: “So that’s two seats for Saturday at three?” “Yes, that’s right.”

FILM NIGHT”
MOON GARDEN: a new mystery film”
Starring Lily Park and Omar Hayes”
Community Hall, Friday 18 October, 7:00 p.m.”
Tickets: 5 euros. Book at the library desk.”

يطرح أحد أفراد العائلة أسئلة الزائر: “Where is it?” و“How much are the tickets?” و“How do I book?” You can book at the library desk.”

يسأل طفلك عن الموعد، ويسمع أن تذاكر العرض النهاري نفدت، فيقترح العرض المسائي، ويتأكد من بقاء مقاعد، ثم يؤكد: “So that’s two seats for seven o’clock?”

  • “What time it starts?”: السؤال يحتاج إلى “does”: “What time does it start?”
  • “What time does it starts?”: بعد “does” لا نضيف “s”: “What time does it start?”
  • “It start at seven.”: مع “it” نضيف “s”: “It starts at seven.”
  • “Is there any seats left?”: “seats” جمع، لذلك نقول “are”: “Are there any seats left?”

The matinee was sold out, so we booked the evening show.”

هل نقول “It starts at seven” أم “It will start at seven”؟

أما “It will start at seven.”
