İngilizce pratiği

Sana kalmaya gelecek arkadaşa İngilizce e-posta nasıl yazılır? A2 Key Bölüm 6 için evini anlatmak

A tidy bedroom and an untidy bedroom side by side.

A2 Key ve A2 Key for Schools Bölüm 6’da misafire yazılan e-posta: there is ve there are, opposite ve next to gibi yer bildiren kelimeler, arkadaşının nerede uyuyacağı, örnek e-posta ve tipik hatalar. A2 seviye, 11–15 yaş.

Sana kalmaya gelecek bir arkadaşa yazdığın e-postada üç şey olmalı: evinin kısa bir tarifi (“Our flat is small but comfortable.”), arkadaşının nerede uyuyacağı (“You can sleep in my room.”) ve birlikte yapabileceğiniz bir şey (“We can go swimming.”).

  • “Your English friend Sam is coming to stay for the weekend. Write an email to Sam.”
  • “Describe your home.”
  • “Say where Sam will sleep.”
  • “Say what you can do together.”
  • “Write 25 words or more.”

1. madde: there is ve there are ile evini anlat

Tek şey için “There’s”, birden fazlası için “There are” kullan; olumlu cümlelerde “some”, olumsuz cümlelerde ve soruların çoğunda “any” gelir.

  • Genel: “We live in a flat on the third floor.”
  • Tek şey: “There’s a big kitchen.”
  • Birden fazla: “There are some shops near our building.”
  • Olmayan şey: “There isn’t a lift.” / “There aren’t any shops in our street.”

Yeri netleştiren kelimeler

Şu beşini, “in”, “on” ve “under” ile birlikte iyi öğren:

  • “next to”: “The bathroom is next to your room.”
  • “opposite” (karşısında, çoğu zaman yolun öbür tarafında): “There’s a park opposite our flat.”
  • “between”: “The sofa is between the window and the door.”
  • “behind”: “There’s a garden behind the house.”
  • “in front of” (önünde, ona yakın): “There’s a bus stop in front of our building.”

Etkinlik için “can” + fiil kullan, araya “to” girmez. Pek çok etkinlik “go” + -ing ile kurulur: go swimming, go shopping.

  • “You can sleep in my room. I can sleep on the sofa.”
  • “We can play basketball in the park opposite.”
  • “We can go swimming. There’s a pool next to my school.”

Örnek e-posta, satır satır

Her satırın işi yanında yazıyor. E-postanın tamamı yaklaşık 50 kelime.

  • “Hi Sam, I’m so happy you’re coming!” → selamlama ve samimi bir giriş.
  • “We live in a small flat with two bedrooms and a balcony.” → 1. madde: evin.
  • “You can sleep in my room, and I can sleep on the sofa.” → 2. madde: Sam nerede uyuyacak.
  • “There’s a pool opposite our building, so we can go swimming.” → 3. madde: ne yapabilirsiniz.
  • “See you on Saturday!

“There are some”, “Is there a …? Yes, there is.”, “behind” ve “next to” ifadelerini dinle.

Zara Where's your desk, Theo? I can't see it.

Theo It's there, behind those plants. There are some papers on it.

Zara And is there a lamp?

Theo Yes, there is. It's on the floor, next to the bed.

There are two bedrooms.” denir. Bitirince bunları ara (okun solunda hata, sağında doğrusu) ve arkadaşının nerede uyuyacağını yazdığını kontrol et.

  • “There is two bedrooms.” → “There are two bedrooms.”
  • “In my room is a desk.” → “There’s a desk in my room.”
  • “There aren’t some shops.” → “There aren’t any shops.”
  • “We have a lot of furnitures.” → “We have a lot of furniture.”
  • “You can sleep in the sofa.” → “You can sleep on the sofa.”

  • “Your English cousin is coming to stay for a week. Write an email. Say what your bedroom is like, where your cousin can put their clothes and what you can do in your town. Write 25 words or more.”
  • Kontrol: Tek şey için “There’s”, fazlası için “There are” mı?

“There is” ne zaman, “there are” ne zaman kullanılır?

“There is” tek bir şeyden ya da sayılamayan bir isimden önce gelir (“There isn’t much furniture.”); “there are” birden fazla şeyden önce gelir (“There are two bedrooms.”).

“Opposite” ile “in front of” arasındaki fark ne?

“Opposite” karşısında demek, çoğu zaman yolun öbür tarafında; “in front of” bir şeyin önünde, ona yakın demek. “opposite of our flat” değil, “opposite our flat” de.
