- “There’s a jazz concert at the Riverside Café on Saturday the twenty-second.” –
- “I want to go because the saxophonist is fantastic.”
- “Would you like to come with us? We can meet at the entrance at seven.” –
- “See you, Ana” –
- “first” (1st), “second” (2nd), “third” (3rd) – شاذة
- “twentieth” (20th), “twenty-first” (21st), “twenty-second” (22nd), “twenty-third” (23rd) – الرقم الأخير يحدد
- “thirtieth” (30th), “thirty-first” (31st) – -ty تصبح -tieth
- يُقال “the twenty-first of June” (أقرب إلى البريطانية) أو “June twenty-first” (أقرب إلى الأمريكية)، ويُكتب “on 21 June” أو “on June 21”.
- “on” للأيام والتواريخ، و“in” للشهور، و“at” للساعات: “on the twenty-first” و“in June” و“at seven”.
التعبير عما تحب: like وlove وdon’t mind وhate مع -ing
ولأنواع الموسيقى يكفي الاسم: “I like jazz.”
- “I love dancing.” –
- “I really like listening to live music.” –
- “I don’t mind travelling on a Friday.” –
- “I don’t like waiting.” –
- “I hate being late.” –
- ستسمع أيضًا “I like to dance”، وكلتاهما صحيحة.
- “Would you like to come?” دعوة، أما “Do you like jazz?”
الأسئلة بـbe وdo
استعمل “be” (is وare) قبل الاسم أو الصفة أو المكان، و“do” أو “does” قبل فعل يدل على حدث.
- “Is she a musician?” – “Yes, she is.”
- “Are you free on Saturday?” – “Yes, I am.”
- “Does she play jazz?” – “No, she doesn’t.”
- “What time does the concert start?” – “At eight.”
- “What kind of music do you like?” – “I really like jazz. It’s fantastic.”
I can’t go then”
“I can’t go then” تتحدث عن الوقت لا عن الذوق.
Owen Do you like listening to folk music?
Maya Yes, and I love dancing.
Owen The folk night is on Friday the twenty-first.
Maya I can't go then. What about jazz on the twenty-third?
Owen Perfect. The saxophonist is fantastic.
أنواع الموسيقى لا تأخذ أداة تعريف: “I like jazz”، لا “I like the jazz” كما قد توحي “أحب الجاز”. أما الآلات فتأخذ عادةً “the”: “She plays the violin.”
- “jazz”, “folk”, “pop”, “hip hop”, “reggae”, “classical music” – دون “the”
- “guitar” – “guitarist”, “piano” – “pianist”, “violin” – “violinist” – تُضاف -ist
- “drums” – “drummer”, “trumpet” – “trumpeter” – تُضاف -er
- “bass” – “bass player”, “keyboard” – “keyboard player” – تُستعمل “player”
- “the twenty-one of June” ← “the twenty-first of June”
- “the 21th” و“the 11st” ← “the 21st”، لكن “the 11th” و“the 12th” و“the 13th”
- “in Friday” ← “on Friday”
- “I like the jazz.” ← “I like jazz.”
- “I like listen to jazz.” “I don’t mind to travel.” ← “I like listening to jazz.” “I don’t mind travelling.”
- “Do you are free?” “Is she play jazz?” ← “Are you free?” “Does she play jazz?”
- “Come with we.” “I like she.” ← “Come with us.” “I like her.” بعد الفعل أو بعد “with” استعمل me وhim وher وit وus وthem.
- قول “I don’t like folk” والمشكلة في التاريخ. قل “I can’t go then”.
My birthday is on the twelfth of May.”
What kind of music do you like?” “Are you free on the twenty-first?”
