A teenager films his grandmother cooking eggs with tomatoes in her small kitchen corner.

alwaysからneverまでの頻度副詞、once/twice a week、“Do you ever…?”、he/sheのあとの-s:A2レベルで生活習慣をたずね、答えを伝える方法。

“How often do you…?”とたずね、頻度を表す単語や表現で答えます:“always”、“usually”、“often”、“sometimes”、“never”、“twice a week”。 “I wash the plates twice a week.”は“He washes the plates twice a week.”

たとえば次のような質問です:“Please tell me something about what you do at the weekend.”

  • “always” = いつも:“I always have breakfast before school.”
  • “usually” = たいてい:“I usually walk to school.”
  • “often” = よく:“We often play football after school.”
  • “sometimes” = ときどき:“I sometimes cook with my dad.”
  • “never” = 一度も〜ない:“My sister never gets up before eight.”
  • 正確な回数:“every day”、“once a week”(週に1回)、“twice a week”(週に2回)、“three times a month”。

I often play basketball.”
  • am、is、areのあと:“She is never late.”
  • “twice a week”のような表現は文の最後:“I wash the plates twice a week.”

と“Do you ever…?”

“How often…?” “Does he ever…?” や“No, never.”

Interviewer Kai, how often do you play video games?

Kai Every day. Well, usually!

Interviewer And how often do you help Abuela Rosa in the kitchen?

Kai Sometimes. I wash the plates twice a week.

Friend Does Kai ever do his homework before dinner, Abuela?

Grandmother No, he doesn't!

Interviewer OK. So Kai plays video games every day, he washes the plates twice a week, and he never does his homework before dinner!

報告する:“I”から“he”や“she”へ

“I wash”は“he washes”になります。he、she、itのときは動詞に-sか-esがつき、“have”は“has”になります。“No, he doesn’t”は“he never does”になります。

“doesn’t”と“does”のあとの動詞には-sをつけません:“He doesn’t play tennis.”、“Does she cook?”

  • “He play video games every day.” → “He plays video games every day.”
  • “How often you play football?” → “How often do you play football?”
  • “I play always football.” → “I always play football.”
  • “She doesn’t watches TV.” → “She doesn’t watch TV.”
  • “He doesn’t never cook.” → “He never cooks.”

  • 1〜3分:“How often…?”の質問を5つと“Do you ever…?”
My mum cooks twice a week. She never plays video games.”
  • 9〜10分:“Please tell me something about what you do at the weekend.”

そのあとA2では“must”、“mustn’t”、“have to”で学校のルールを話し、B1では“used to”で昔の習慣と今の習慣を比べます。

ただし、am、is、areがあるときはそのあとです(“She is never late.”)。

“How often”と“How many times”の違いは?

“How often do you swim?” “How many times a week…?”
