⏱ 4–5 dk
📝 İçerik
Kimlik kontrolü, ardından günlük konular üzerine kısa sorular.
🎯 Ölçülen
Akıcılık, temel kelime bilgisi, doğal tepki verme hızı.
💡 İpucu
Tek cümleyle kesmeyin; her cevaba kısa bir gerekçe ekleyin.

2) Part 2 — Cue Card

⏱ 3–4 dk
📝 İçerik
1 dk hazırlık + 1–2 dk kesintisiz konuşma, ardından kısa bir takip sorusu.
🎯 Ölçülen
Uzun turda fikirleri düzenleyebilme, konuyu sürdürebilme.
💡 İpucu
Notlara kelimesi kelimesine bağlı kalmayın; sadece iskelet olarak kullanın.

3) Part 3 — Tartışma

⏱ 4–5 dk

"Could you repeat that, please?" ya da "Sorry, could you say that again?" gibi bir cümle yeterli.

Örneğin: "Do you think you'll read more books like that one?" ya da "Would you recommend that place to a friend?" Bu sorular Part 3'e geçiş niteliğinde olduğundan uzun cevap beklenmez.

Puanlama: Dört Değerlendirme Ölçütü

Ölçüt Ne Ölçer
Fluency and Coherence Doğal akış, uygun bağlaçlar, uzun duraksama olmadan konuşabilme.
Lexical Resource Konuya uygun kelime çeşitliliği, doğru kolokasyonlar, esnek parafraz.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy Cümle çeşitliliği (basit/karmaşık), düşük hata oranı, anlamı bozmayan doğruluk.

Example — somut bir örnek ver.

  • Where are you from? — "I'm from Izmir, a coastal city on Turkey's Aegean side. It's known for its seafront promenade and the weekly Kemeraltı bazaar, though most people just call it the most relaxed of Turkey's big cities."
  • Do you work or study? — "I'm currently studying industrial engineering at a state university in Istanbul. I picked it partly because I like solving logistics-type puzzles, and partly because a cousin who works in supply chain talked me into it."
  • What do you do in your free time? — "I spend a lot of weekends bouldering at a climbing gym near my flat. It's the one activity that actually switches my brain off from coursework."
  • Do you prefer mornings or evenings? — "Evenings, without question. My focus doesn't really kick in until after 8pm, which used to annoy my flatmates when I'd start cooking at midnight."
  • How often do you use public transport? — "Almost daily. I take the metro to campus because parking near the university is close to impossible."
  • Do you enjoy reading? — "I do, mostly non-fiction about design and architecture. I go through phases though; I'll read four books in a month and then nothing for six weeks."
  • What kind of music do you like? — "Mostly Anatolian rock from the seventies, oddly enough for someone my age. My dad played it constantly when I was a kid, and it just stuck."
  • Do you cook at home? — "Yes, most weeknights. It's cheaper than eating out in Istanbul now, and I've gotten reasonably good at quick pasta dishes out of necessity."
  • Do you like your hometown? — "I do, though I complain about it constantly. Izmir has a great climate and excellent food, but public transport outside the centre is genuinely frustrating."
  • How do you usually spend weekends? — "Saturday is usually climbing and seeing friends, Sunday I try to keep free for laundry and catching up on assignments I've been avoiding."
  • Do you prefer online shopping or in-store? — "Online for anything predictable, like books or basic clothing. For anything I need to try on, I'll still go in person."
  • Are you a tidy person? — "Reasonably, though my desk is the exception. It's organised chaos that only makes sense to me."
  • Do you think you are good at time management? — "Better than I used to be. I started using a simple weekly planner last year, and it's cut down on the last-minute panic before deadlines."
  • Do you exercise regularly? — "Yes, climbing twice a week counts as my main exercise, plus I walk a lot since I don't own a car."
  • What's your favourite season? — "Autumn, mainly because Istanbul's summers are brutal, and autumn is the first stretch where you can actually sit outside comfortably."
  • Do you like taking photos? — "Casually, mostly on my phone. I've got hundreds of half-decent photos of food and skylines I'll probably never look at again."
  • Do you often travel by plane? — "A few times a year, usually to visit family back in Izmir. I'd rather take the bus for shorter trips if I have the time."
  • Do you use any mobile apps daily? — "Definitely. A language app in the mornings, and a to-do list app that I'm slightly too dependent on."
  • Do you enjoy learning languages? — "Yes, I'm working on German at the moment. It's slow going, but I like the feeling of a new grammar system finally clicking."
  • Do you prefer to study alone or with others? — "Alone, mostly. I get distracted easily in group study sessions, though I'll join one before exams just to compare notes."

Part 1'de Dört Soru İçin Band 6, Band 7 ve Band 8 Karşılaştırması

Aşağıdaki dört soru, aynı sorunun üç farklı bant seviyesinde nasıl cevaplanabileceğini gösteriyor. Buradaki amacımız aradaki farkın nerede oluştuğunu göstermek.

Where are you from?

Band 6: "I am from Izmir. It is city in west part of Turkey, near the sea. It is famous for good weather and also for market called Kemeraltı, where you can buy many different things, very old market. I like this city because it is not so busy like Istanbul, more relax. Also food is very good there, especially seafood, because it is near the sea."

Band 7: "I'm from Izmir, a city on Turkey's Aegean coast. It's known for its seafront and for Kemeraltı, this sprawling old bazaar where you can buy pretty much anything, from spices to secondhand books. Compared to Istanbul, it feels a lot more relaxed; the pace of life is slower, and people genuinely make time to sit at a café for an hour without rushing off somewhere. The food is another highlight, since being right on the coast means the seafood is excellent and, more importantly, affordable."

Band 8: "I'm from Izmir, on Turkey's Aegean coast, a city that tends to get overshadowed by Istanbul but has its own distinct character. What stands out most is the pace: people there still treat sitting at a café for an hour as a perfectly reasonable use of time, which took some getting used to when I moved to a busier city for university. It's also home to Kemeraltı, a sprawling old bazaar that's less a market than a maze, and the seafood scene benefits enormously from being right on the water: fresh, and unlike most coastal cities I've visited since, not extortionately priced."

Neden bu bant: Band 6 cevabında artikel hataları var ("It is city" yerine "a city" gerekir), cümleler kısa ve tekrar bağlaçlarla ("also", "because") bağlanıyor.

What do you do in your free time?

Band 6: "In my free time, I usually go to climbing gym. I go maybe two or three time in one week. I like this activity because when I am climbing, I don't think about anything else, only the wall and where I put my hand next. Before I start climbing, I used to play video games a lot, but climbing is more healthy I think and also I meet new friends there."

Band 7: "Most of my free time goes into bouldering, actually; I try to get to the climbing gym two or three times a week. What I like about it is how completely it occupies your attention. When you're on the wall, there's no space left to think about anything else, which makes it a genuinely effective way to switch off. Before I got into it, I used to spend most of my free evenings gaming, and while I don't regret that phase, climbing has turned out to be both healthier and, unexpectedly, a better way to meet people."

Band 8: "If I'm honest, most of my free time these days revolves around bouldering. I get to the gym two or three times a week, sometimes more if I'm avoiding something I should be doing instead. The appeal, beyond the physical side, is how totally it absorbs your attention; there's genuinely no mental bandwidth left for anything else while you're working out a route, which makes it about the only reliable way I've found to switch my brain off. I used to fill that same time gaming, which was fine but fairly solitary, whereas the climbing gym has this tight-knit community that's turned out to be one of the more unexpected upsides of taking it up."

Neden bu bant: Band 6'da çoğul hatası var ("two or three time"), cümleler sıralı ve basit. Band 7'de bağlı yan cümle kuruluyor ("which makes it a genuinely effective way to switch off") ve zıtlık var ("I don't regret... but"). Band 8'de kendiliğinden gelen mizahi bir gözlem ("sometimes more if I'm avoiding something") ve soyut ifade ("no mental bandwidth left") akışı doğallaştırıyor.

Do you think you are good at time management?

Band 6: "I think I am better now than before, but not perfect. Last year, I always finish my work in last minute, and this make me very stressed. Now I use a planner, I write my tasks every week, and this help me a lot. I still sometimes forget small things, but big deadlines I don't miss anymore. So I think I am okay, not excellent, but okay."

Band 7: "I'd say I'm better than I used to be, though I wouldn't call myself excellent at it. Last year I was one of those people who left everything until the last minute, which was fine until it wasn't; the stress eventually caught up with me. Since then I've started using a simple weekly planner, and it's made a real difference. I rarely miss major deadlines now, even if smaller tasks occasionally slip through. So I'd put myself somewhere in the middle: organised where it counts, but still a work in progress."

Band 8: "I'd like to say I'm good at it, but honestly it's more accurate to say I've become functional at it out of necessity. Up until last year, I was firmly in the last-minute camp; everything got done, technically, but always at the cost of a fair amount of unnecessary stress. What changed things was something almost embarrassingly simple: a weekly planner, nothing sophisticated, just a place to see everything at once. It hasn't turned me into someone with flawless discipline, small tasks still fall through the cracks occasionally, but the big deadlines no longer sneak up on me."

Neden bu bant: Band 6'da zaman kipleri tutarsız ("this make me", "I finish"). Band 7'de nüans ve zıtlık var ("which was fine until it wasn't"); kendi kendini değerlendirme daha esnek. Band 8'de kendini eleştiren ironik bir ton ("more accurate to say I've become functional... out of necessity") ve akıcı, kontrollü uzun cümleler var.

Do you enjoy learning languages?

Band 6: "Yes, I enjoy it, but it is also difficult sometimes. Now I am learning German, maybe six month already. I like it because grammar is like a puzzle, when I understand new rule, I feel happy. But sometimes I forget words very fast, and this is frustrating. I think I will continue learning because I want to work in Germany one day."

Band 7: "I do, though 'enjoy' comes with some frustration attached most of the time. I've been learning German for about six months now, and what I actually like is the grammar, oddly enough; it feels like solving a puzzle, and there's a specific kind of satisfaction when a rule that seemed random suddenly clicks into place. The frustrating part is vocabulary. I'll learn a word, feel confident about it, and then completely blank on it a week later. Still, I'm planning to keep going, mainly because I'd like to work in Germany eventually."

Band 8: "Genuinely, yes, though I'd qualify that by saying the enjoyment and the frustration tend to arrive in the same sitting. I've been working on German for about six months, and the part that hooks me is, unexpectedly, the grammar; there's a specific satisfaction in watching a rule that seemed arbitrary finally resolve into something logical. Vocabulary is where it falls apart a little: I'll feel confident about a word one day and draw a complete blank the next, which is as demoralising as it sounds. What keeps me at it, honestly, is that I've got a fairly concrete reason to."

Band 7'de tırnak içi doğal ifade ("enjoy comes with some frustration attached") ve akıcı bağlaçlar var. Band 8'de dengeli ve soyut bir gözlem ("the enjoyment and the frustration tend to arrive in the same sitting") ile kontrollü uzun cümleler öne çıkıyor.

Üç Cue Card İçin Tam Model Cevaplar (Band 6, 7, 8)

Describe a technology you find useful in daily life.

Band 6: "I want to talk about my phone, especially the notes app on it. I use this app every day, maybe ten times a day, because I forget things easily. I started using it maybe two years ago when I was still in high school and I keep losing my paper notebooks. It's about writing down small tasks, like buy milk, or call my mother, things like this. I find it useful because if I don't write things down I will forget it, and also I can check it anywhere, on the bus, in the class, everywhere. Before this app I use paper but I always lost the paper. So now my life is more organized I think, not perfect but better than before."

Band 7: "The technology I rely on most is probably my note-taking app, nothing fancy, just a simple app that syncs across my phone and laptop. I've been using it for about two years now, since my second year of university, when I realised sticky notes weren't cutting it anymore. I mainly use it to track assignment deadlines and small daily tasks, things like reminding myself to email a professor or pick up something on the way home. What makes it genuinely useful, rather than just convenient, is that it syncs automatically, so if I add something on my phone during a lecture, it's already there when I open my laptop that evening. Before I started using it, I'd lose paper notes constantly. Now that problem has more or less disappeared."

Band 8: "If I'm honest, the piece of technology I couldn't function without is a fairly unglamorous one: a cross-device note-taking app. I started relying on it in my second year at university, once it became obvious that scribbling things on random scraps of paper simply wasn't sustainable given how scattered my schedule had become. What sets it apart from a plain notebook is the syncing: whatever I jot down on my phone between lectures shows up automatically on my laptop by the time I sit down to work in the evening, so nothing gets lost in translation between devices. I'd say the real value isn't the app itself so much as what it's freed me from. I used to spend a surprising amount of mental energy just trying to remember where I'd written something down, and that friction has essentially disappeared."

Describe a piece of advice that worked for you.

Band 6: "I want to describe an advice from my older brother. He gave me this advice maybe three years ago, when I was starting university and I was very stressed about grades. He told me, don't compare your first year to someone else's third year, because it's not fair comparison. At that time I was always looking at other students and think I am behind. After he say this to me, I start to feel better, because I understand my situation is different, not worse. I think it work for me because it come from someone I trust, and also because it was simple advice, easy to remember."

Band 7: "The advice that's stuck with me came from my older brother, right when I started university and was constantly stressed about grades. He told me not to compare my first year to someone else's third year, because it's simply not a fair comparison; different starting points, different amounts of experience. At the time, I was comparing myself to older students constantly and feeling like I was falling behind. Once he pointed that out, something shifted; I stopped measuring myself against people who'd had two extra years to figure things out. I think it worked partly because it came from someone I trust, but mostly because it was so simple that it was easy to actually remember and apply."

Band 8: "One piece of advice that's genuinely changed how I think came from my older brother, during my first term at university, when I was fairly consumed by comparing myself to other students. He pointed out that comparing my first year to someone else's third year wasn't just unhelpful, it was a category error; we simply weren't standing at the same point. That reframing did more for my stress levels than any productivity technique I'd tried. What made it effective, I think, wasn't just the logic of it, but the fact that it came from someone whose judgement I trust and who'd clearly noticed the pattern in me before I had."

Neden bu bant: Band 6'da zaman kipleri tutarsız ("he say", "it work").

Describe a time you helped someone.

Band 6: "I want to talk about time I help my neighbor. She is old woman, living alone next to my flat. Last winter, there was heavy snow and she cannot go outside to buy food. I saw her trying to open door and I asked if she need help. She say yes, so I go to the market for her and buy bread, milk, some vegetables. It take maybe thirty minutes. I did this because I think it is normal thing, if someone need help you should help them. After that, she always say hello to me when we meet, and sometimes she give me food she cook."

Band 7: "This actually happened quite recently, last winter, when we had a heavy snowfall and my elderly neighbour, who lives alone in the flat next to mine, couldn't get out to buy groceries. I noticed her struggling with her door one morning and offered to pick up whatever she needed from the market. It only took about thirty minutes in the end, bread, milk, a few vegetables, but she seemed genuinely relieved, more than I'd expected given how small the favour was. I didn't think much of it at the time; where I'm from, checking on elderly neighbours during bad weather is just something you do. What surprised me was the aftermath: she started greeting me every time we crossed paths, and a few times she's sent food over that she'd cooked."

Band 8: "The instance that comes to mind is fairly ordinary on paper but stuck with me regardless. Last winter, during a particularly heavy snowfall, I noticed my elderly neighbour, who lives alone next door, struggling to get her front door open, clearly trying and failing to head out for groceries. I offered to go instead, which ended up taking half an hour at most: bread, milk, a handful of vegetables. At the time it barely registered as a favour; where I grew up, looking out for elderly neighbours in bad weather is simply expected, not remarkable. What's stayed with me is how disproportionate her gratitude was relative to the effort involved; she still greets me every time we cross paths, and every so often something she's cooked turns up at my door."

Neden bu bant: Band 6'da geçmiş zaman tutarsızlığı var ("she say", "I go", "it take"). Band 7'de zaman kipleri doğru, vurgulu yapı ("What surprised me was") akışı güçlendiriyor. Band 8'de zıtlık ustaca kuruluyor ("barely registered... disproportionate her gratitude") ve sonuç cümlesi soyutlaşıyor.

Band 6, Band 7 ve Band 8 Arasındaki Fark

Yukarıdaki on örnekte fark aslında hep aynı üç yerde oluşuyor. Birincisi, zaman kipi tutarlılığı. Band 6 cevaplarında "she say", "it take" gibi kayan zamanlar varken Band 7 ve 8'de zaman kipi baştan sona tutarlı. İkincisi, bağlaç çeşitliliği. Band 6 "and", "because", "so" üçlüsüne bağımlı kalırken Band 7 ve 8 zıtlık ("which was fine until it wasn't"), vurgu ("What surprised me was") ve soyutlama ("a category error") gibi araçlarla cümleleri birbirine bağlıyor.

  • How has technology changed the way people learn? — Önce/şimdi karşılaştırması yap, bir avantaj bir dezavantaj ver. Açılış: "It's changed things quite fundamentally..." (tam cevap aşağıda)
  • Should governments invest more in public transport? Açılış: "I'd say yes, mainly because the alternative, everyone driving, doesn't scale in a crowded city."
  • Why do some people prefer working from home? — İki sebep ver (esneklik, işe gidiş-geliş), kişisel gözlemle bağla. Açılış: "I think it mostly comes down to control over your own schedule."
  • How can schools encourage creativity? Açılış: "Giving students more open-ended assignments would be a start."
  • What are the benefits of travelling abroad? — Kişisel ya da gözlemsel bir örnekle somutlaştır. Açılış: "The most obvious one is perspective; you notice what's normal in your own country only once you've left it."
  • Do advertisements influence children more than adults? — Nedenini açıkla (eleştirel düşünme eksikliği), bir örnekle destekle. Açılış: "I'd argue yes, simply because children haven't developed the scepticism adults have built up over years of being marketed to."
  • How important is work-life balance? — Bireysel ve kurumsal sonuçları ayrı ayrı göster. Açılış: "I'd say it's genuinely important, not just a nice idea companies pay lip service to." (tam cevap aşağıda)
  • What role should museums play in education? — Geleneksel rolün ötesine geç, somut bir işlev öner. Açılış: "Beyond just displaying objects, I think museums are well placed to make abstract history feel tangible."
  • How can cities become more environmentally friendly? — Bir politika örneği ver, sonucunu tahmin et. Açılış: "Investing seriously in cycling infrastructure would be an obvious starting point."
  • Why do people switch careers? — Birkaç sebep sırala, birini derinleştir. Açılış: "Burnout is probably the most common reason, closely followed by simply outgrowing the role."
  • Is it better to study alone or in groups at university? Açılış: "It depends on the task, honestly; alone for deep focus, groups for testing your understanding."
  • How do social media platforms impact relationships? — Bir olumlu, bir olumsuz etki ver, dengele. Açılış: "They've made staying in loose contact easier, but I'd argue they've made deep contact rarer."
  • Should employers prioritise skills over degrees? — Alana göre değiştiğini göster, iki karşıt örnek kullan. Açılış: "It really depends on the field, I think, rather than being a blanket yes or no." (tam cevap aşağıda)
  • What makes a successful community? — Somut bir unsur seç (güven, katılım), örnekle bağla. Açılış: "I'd say a strong sense of mutual obligation matters more than shared interests."
  • How can governments support small businesses? — Somut bir mekanizma öner (vergi, kredi). Açılış: "Reducing the early-stage tax burden would probably have the most immediate effect."
  • What are the downsides of relying on technology? — Bir bağımlılık örneği ver, sonucunu tarif et. Açılış: "The clearest downside is how quickly a skill atrophies once you stop practising it without the tool."
  • How can individuals reduce their carbon footprint? — Yüksek etkili bir değişikliği öne çıkar. Açılış: "Cutting down on flights probably has more impact than most of the smaller habits people focus on."
  • Why is financial literacy important? — Somut bir sonuç bağla (borç, tasarruf). Açılış: "Without it, people tend to make decisions, like taking on debt, without really understanding the long-term cost."
  • What challenges do immigrants face in new countries? — İki somut zorluk sırala (dil, tanınma). Açılış: "Language is the obvious one, but having your qualifications recognised is often the harder barrier."
  • Should schools focus more on soft skills? — Bir örnek beceri seç (iletişim), neden gerekli olduğunu açıkla. Açılış: "I'd say yes; technical knowledge dates quickly, but communication and adaptability don't."

Üç Soru İçin Tam Model Cevaplar (Band 6, 7, 8)

How has technology changed the way people learn?

Band 6: "I think technology change learning a lot. Before, students only have textbook and teacher, but now we have internet, so we can find information about everything, very fast. For example, if I don't understand something in class, I can watch video on YouTube and understand better. But I think it also has problem, because student can copy answer from internet easily, this is not good for learning."

Band 7: "It's changed things quite fundamentally, I'd say. Where students used to rely almost entirely on a textbook and whatever the teacher explained, now there's essentially unlimited information available the moment you need it. If I don't follow something in a lecture, for instance, I can find three different explanations of it on YouTube within minutes, which wasn't an option ten years ago. That said, it's not entirely positive; the same accessibility that helps you learn also makes it very easy to just copy an answer instead of working through it."

Band 8: "Fundamentally, I think it's shifted learning from something scarce to something abundant, and that comes with trade-offs. Twenty years ago, your access to explanation was limited to a textbook and a teacher's availability; now, if a concept doesn't click, there are dozens of alternative explanations a search away, often better suited to how you personally learn. The flip side is that abundance removes friction in both directions: it's just as easy to shortcut the learning process, copying an answer instead of working through the reasoning, as it is to deepen your understanding."

Neden bu bant: Band 6'da fikir tek yönlü anlatılıyor ve "this is not good for learning" gibi genel yargı yeterince gerekçelendirilmiyor. Band 7'de karşılaştırma ve gerekçelendirme var. Band 8'de soyut bir çerçeveleme var ("shifted learning from something scarce to something abundant") ve nedensellik daha ustaca kuruluyor.

How important is work-life balance?

Band 6: "I think it is very important, maybe one of most important thing. If someone work too much and don't have time for family or rest, they will become tired and unhappy, and after some time, maybe they cannot work good also. I know some people in my country, they work very long hours, and I see they are always tired. So I think company should also think about this, not only employee."

Band 7: "I'd say it's genuinely important, not just a nice idea companies pay lip service to. If someone consistently works long hours with no real downtime, the effects tend to catch up eventually, not just personally, in terms of stress and relationships, but professionally too, since exhausted employees usually aren't producing their best work anyway. I've seen this play out with people I know who work in fairly demanding sectors here; the long hours are almost worn as a badge of honour, but the actual output doesn't seem proportionally better."

Band 8: "I'd argue it's not just important but genuinely underrated as a productivity issue, ironically enough. There's a persistent assumption, at least in some industries here, that longer hours straightforwardly translate into better output, but that logic tends to break down once fatigue sets in; you end up with people who are present for more hours but producing less in each one. What I find more interesting is how normalised the imbalance has become; long hours are treated almost as a status symbol rather than a warning sign."

Neden bu bant: Band 6'da yargı tekrarlanıyor ("very important... one of most important"). Band 7'de karşı görüşe değinme var ("not just a nice idea companies pay lip service to").

Should employers prioritise skills over degrees?

Band 6: "I think in some job, yes, skills is more important than degree. For example, if someone want to be programmer, maybe he don't need university degree, if he can show he know how to code good. But for some job, like doctor, degree is very necessary, because you need specific knowledge. So I think it depends on the job, not same answer for every job."

Band 7: "It really depends on the field, I think, rather than being a blanket yes or no. For something like software development, a portfolio of real projects can demonstrate competence just as convincingly as a degree, maybe more so, since it shows what someone can actually do rather than what they studied. For other professions though, medicine being the obvious example, a degree isn't just a formality; it represents knowledge and certification that genuinely can't be substituted by informal experience."

Band 8: "I don't think there's a single right answer here, because it hinges entirely on how verifiable the skill in question actually is. In fields like software development or design, where you can simply look at someone's portfolio and judge the quality of their work directly, a degree starts to feel almost redundant as a filter; it's a weaker signal than the work itself. But that logic falls apart the moment you move into fields where competence can't be assessed by output alone, medicine being the clearest case; you can't ask a surgeon to demonstrate their skills the way you'd review a codebase."

Band 8'de soyut bir çerçeve kuruluyor ("hinges entirely on how verifiable the skill... is") ve karşıt bir örnekle (cerrah/kod) güçlendiriliyor.

Sık Yapılan Hatalar ve Puan Kırılan Noktalar

  • Ezbere, kalıplaşmış yanıtlar: Doğallığı bozar; sınavcı düz bir tonlama ve soruya tam uymayan detaylardan bunu fark eder. Esnek şablon artı kişisel örnek daha güvenli.
  • Tekrar eden kelimeler: Aynı kelimeyi cevap boyunca tekrarlamak Lexical Resource puanını düşüreceği için parafraz ve eş anlamlarla çeşitlilik gösterin.
  • Uzun duraksamalar: Zaman kazanma kalıpları (aşağıdaki bölümde) ve bağlaçlarla akışı koruyun.
  • Cümle tekdüzeliği: Sıralı, bağlaçlı ve koşullu yapıları harmanlayın; her cümle "I think... because..." kalıbında olmasın.
  • Telaffuzda düz tonlama: Cümle sonunda vurgu ve tonlama düşüşünü ihmal etmeyin. Thought group'lar (anlam grupları) halinde konuşup tek nefeste her şeyi söylemeye çalışmayın.

  • Well, that's an interesting question, let me think for a second.
  • To be honest, I haven't thought about this before, but...
  • That's a good question. I suppose...
  • If I think about it carefully...
  • Let me put it this way...
  • I'd say, on balance...
  • That's actually a tricky one, but I'd guess...
  • How can I put this...
  • I haven't really considered this, but off the top of my head...
  • Well, it depends, but if I had to say...
  • Actually, now that I think about it...
  • That's not something I have a strong opinion on, but...
  • I suppose the simplest way to put it is...

  • Aynı bağlacın tekrarı: "And" ve "because" neredeyse her cümlede geçiyor; bağlaç çeşitliliği (though, since, which means, given that) neredeyse hiç kullanılmıyor.

  • Gün 11-13: Part 3 tartışma turları (why, how, what if soruları), örneklerle destekleme.

2
Band'a göre puanla
Fluency, Lexical, Grammar ve Pronunciation ölçütlerinde 0–9 arası puan verin.
3
