This polite plural/formal request asks for repetition. It works when sound or speed prevented understanding.

Use this to identify one missed word. It is more precise than claiming you understood nothing.

- What exactly do you mean?
Use this when the words were heard but the speaker’s intended meaning remains unclear; ask it with a neutral tone.

Θα ήθελα έναν καφέ.
After θα ήθελα, masculine καφές takes the accusative phrase έναν καφέ.
Η συνάντηση αρχίζει στις δέκα ώρα.
Η συνάντηση αρχίζει στις δέκα.
For “at ten,” στις δέκα is complete; adding singular ώρα in this form is unnecessary and ungrammatical.
