B1 Preliminary Reading Part 2: jak dopasować każdą osobę do tekstu, który spełnia jej trzy wymagania

Four friends do timed practice papers in the club room while a teacher holds a timer.

Jak rozwiązać część 2 Reading w B1 Preliminary i B1 Preliminary for Schools: podkreśl trzy wymagania każdej osoby, sprawdź każde z nich, odrzuć teksty pasujące tylko do dwóch i pilnuj czasu. Poziom B1, wiek 12–16 lat.

W części 2 testu Reading w B1 Preliminary dopasowujesz pięć osób do pięciu z ośmiu krótkich tekstów.

  • “Lina wants to learn a new dance style. She is only free on weekday evenings, and she can’t spend more than £10 a class.”

  • A · “Salsa for Beginners: Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 7.00 to 8.30. £8 a class.” → pasują wszystkie trzy: to odpowiedź
  • B · “Street Dance Workshop: learn hip hop moves. Saturday, 10.00 to 12.00. £6.” → sobota rano, a nie wieczór w dzień powszedni
  • C · “Ballet Night: watch the City Ballet on Wednesday at 7.30 pm. Tickets £9.” → tylko by oglądała, a nie uczyła się
  • D · “Tango Club: classes for all levels, Monday to Friday at 8.00 pm. £15 a class.” → 15 funtów to ponad jej limit

Dopasuj znaczenie, nie słowo

Właściwy tekst rzadko powtarza słowa z opisu osoby. A tekst może zawierać dokładnie to słowo, którego szukasz, i mimo to być błędny. Porównaj:

  • “doesn’t want to pay anything” = “It costs nothing.”
  • “wants a small group” = “never more than eight people”
  • “with people his own age” = “for ages 13 to 16”
  • “Free parking for visitors.” → darmowy jest parking, a nie zajęcia
  • “Open every day except Sunday.”
  • “The masterclass was in the big hall, so we couldn’t ask questions.” → nie pasuje do kogoś, kto chce zadawać pytania

Dopasowywanie trwa za długo? Wybierz jeden cel

Wielu uczniów uważa, że część 2 idzie im wolno. Posłuchaj nauczycielki i trojga uczniów przed ćwiczeniem na czas i skopiuj ostatni pomysł: wybierz jeden cel, na przykład „za każdym razem sprawdzam wszystkie trzy wymagania”. Żeby przyspieszyć, przejrzyj osiem tekstów pod kątem najłatwiejszego do znalezienia wymagania jednej osoby, często dnia albo ceny, a pozostałe dwa sprawdzaj tylko w tekstach, które przeszły ten test.

Nauczycielka Right, everyone. Today we're working against the clock, just like on exam day.

Uczeń 1 I'm fine with reading, but the matching part always takes me too long.

Uczeń 2 For me it's listening. People say one thing and then change their minds!

Uczeń 3 So let's each choose one goal before we start.

Uzasadnij każdą odpowiedź i zapisz jedną wskazówkę

Potem zapisz jedną wskazówkę na następny raz, na przykład: “I wrote down the three things each person wanted, and I only chose a text when all three were there.” Pomogą ci te schematy zdań:

  • “A fits because ‘Tuesday and Thursday evenings’ means weekday evenings.”
  • “The text said Saturday, but she is only free on weekdays.”
  • “Next time I will underline all three needs first.”

  • Przeoczenie małych słów w opisie: “only”, “can’t”, “more than”.

8-minutowy plan egzaminacyjny
