Spanish pronunciation test for a client handover in Spain

For an English-speaking client manager in Spain, practise who owns the next task and when it is due. Flalingo’s Spanish pronunciation test can give word feedback on a difficult term; a handover role-play checks whether the recipient understood the complete responsibility.

Define a handover with one new owner

Imagine transferring a client follow-up to a colleague while you attend another meeting. The colleague must know which document to send, who receives it and when. Use a fictional client and prepare three short sentences. Avoid a long project history before assigning the task. If your partner can repeat the background but cannot identify the owner, the first change should be information order, not an isolated sound.

Make responsibility explicit

In Spanish, practise the sentence that names the person responsible rather than leaving the assignment implied by the surrounding conversation. Ask your partner who will act after hearing it once. If the answer differs from your intention, rewrite the wording and record again. Pronunciation clarity cannot fix an ambiguous assignment. Keep the action phrase together at a comfortable pace so its verb does not disappear between names and dates.

Distinguish reading difficulty from vocabulary choice

An English-speaking learner may hesitate over a familiar-looking Spanish business word or transfer an English reading habit. Check both meaning and spoken form before diagnosing the hesitation. Choose one word from your actual handover and use the Spanish test as a word-level starting point. If you need an explanation of how to produce it, seek a demonstration; do not infer detailed phoneme guidance from a general word response.

Rehearse the recipient’s question

Your partner asks which version of the document to send or whether the date has changed. Answer briefly, then restate the final task. This introduces listening and reformulation that a prepared recording leaves out. If you accelerate during the correction, practise a pause before the updated detail. Keep the exercise about a fictional task so it can be repeated without sharing real client information or internal documents.

Check the handover after the conversation

Have both participants write the owner, document version and deadline after the exchange. Their notes should agree before you treat the rehearsal as successful. Try another handover with a new owner to test whether the structure transfers. Keep automated feedback separate from this agreement check: it estimates the submitted word and does not verify client commitments, professional competence or whether the task will actually be completed.

Try it yourself

Try the conversation

“Ana enviará la nueva versión al cliente el viernes. ¿Puedes confirmar la fecha de entrega?”
  1. Read the example and check that you understand each sentence. Use fictional details; record once at a comfortable pace without trying to imitate a whole accent.
  2. Choose one word or phrase that matters to this situation. Make one deliberate adjustment, then repeat the complete example rather than only the isolated item.
  3. Ask an adult partner to listen without seeing the script and explain what they understood. Note whether they recovered the owner, document version and deadline.
  4. Change one detail and repeat without reading the full script. Compare understanding with the first attempt under similar recording conditions.

Common questions

What should I check in this particular practice?

Ask a listener to recover the owner, document version and deadline. Give them the audio without the text first, because a visible script makes unclear details easier to guess. Compare their answer with your intended message and select one mismatch to practise. Then try a changed example, so you test a reusable habit rather than one memorised recording.

What does the online result establish?

It is a model estimate for the submitted sample, not certification or guaranteed intelligibility. For this non-English target, the feedback is at word level; do not assume a separate diagnosis of each sound. Listen to the recording and seek a teacher’s demonstration if you need an explanation the result does not provide.

Does my first language tell me what I must fix?

It can suggest questions to investigate, but it cannot diagnose your individual recording. Your learning history, reading habits and exposure differ from another learner’s. Choose a problem observed in your own sample and check whether it affects listener understanding. If the issue is unfamiliar vocabulary or an ambiguous sentence, practise that separately from producing the word.
